Bau Thi Le, 66, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at her residence.

Born in Biên Hòa, Vietnam, Bau was the daughter of the late Nhu Van Le and My Thi Dang. She was the beloved wife of Quy Xuan Nguyen. The couple shared 44 years of marriage.

Bau was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Downingtown, PA. She was also a member of the Vietnamese Catholic Community of Phoenixville/Chester County (Cộng Đoàn Thánh Giuse). Bau enjoyed cooking, gardening, volunteering for the Vietnamese Catholic Community, traveling, and especially spending time and caring for her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Bau is survived by her children: Jennifer Nguyen (Phu Duong) of Lancaster, PA, Joanne Nguyen (Khoa Nguyen) of Philadelphia, PA, and Olivia Nguyen of Downingtown, PA; grandchildren: Sophie Duong, Annie Duong, Ellie Duong, and Kaden Nguyen; siblings: Nu Le, Day Le, and Chau Le.

In addition to her parents, Bau was preceded in death by her brother: Tan Le.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 6-8 PM at James J. Terry Funeral Home: 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. A second viewing will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 9:45-10:45 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
